5 Favorite Places of 2021
Below are the 5 cities (no order) that I've enjoyed the most in 2021.
Austin, Texas
If you're a foodie, go to Austin. With great food, great weather, and great music, there's no wonder why people are flocking to Austin.
New Orleans, Louisiana
New Orleans is more than a party city; the music and food have shaped America. Take an alligator tour but be sure to keep your limbs inside the airboat.
Chicago, Illinois
I've always wondered why Chicagoans boast about their city, but they have a point. Chicago is like New York, but cleaner and with a beach. Take the riverboat architecture tour. You will not be disappointed.
Toronto, Canada
Remember what I just wrote for Chicago? Toronto is like Chicago, but bigger, and the people are friendlier. Check out the CN Tower, Casa Loma, and the eclectic neighborhoods.
Providence, Rhode Island
Providence is underrated. Forbes wrote, "When it comes to food, Providence punches above its weight considering that it's a city of less than 200,000 residents." Check out the WaterFire event when visiting.
Make this classic cocktail – the Mexican Margarita
- 1.5 oz Tequila
-
3/4 oz Cointreau
-
3/4 oz Lime juice
-
1/2 oz Simple syrup
Shake the tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and simple syrup together in a shaker with ice. Rim a rocks glass with salt, and fill with ice. Strain into the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Thank you
With 2021 ending, thank you for the support, recommendations, and memories. I've started this newsletter during COVID because I had cabin fever and pages of unfulfilled travel plans (still have more). I had no idea that I would be reconnecting with old friends and making new ones all over the country.
P.S. For all the haters, forget you. My singing does sound like Usher. You need to recognize true talent!
