It feels so good to be back home and on my productivity game again! My mannerisms and habits changed completely while I was in Brazil, but as soon as I returned to the states, everything went back to normal. It's interesting how quickly I fell back into my previous routine.
However, when I
returned from my trip, everything and everyone had stayed the same - their lives unchanged…
…That stagnation scares me! I feel like I've changed so much in just 1 month’s time.
I love traveling.
Next week, I'll be traveling with Ava and we're going to conquer it all. During our
trip, we’ll definitely do a few photoshoots. I've recently taken some thrist traps captivating photos so I'm prepared.
Budapest is not ready!
DON’T overlook Kansas City, people. Considering that Kansas City won the Super Bowl last year and I'm an Eagles fan (Go Birds!), I wasn't too excited about the trip.
However, I was pleasantly surprised. The food is fantastic, the sights are intriguing, and things are relatively affordable. Let's dive in…
Go to a Jazz Club - Kansas is known for its music because many bars were blatantly open during prohibition, so musicians went there for work. If you follow me on social media, you know that I enjoy jazz music. I have to admit that the
live jazz scene in Kansas City is top-notch. Be sure to check out The Phoenix or the Green Lady Lounge!
Have the Barbecue - Many states in the
South claim to have the best BBQ, but Kansas City certainly lives up to that reputation. During my visit to the city, I couldn't resist indulging in some mouthwatering BBQ (although I still believe that Texas has the best BBQ). The BBQ in Kansas City is simply outstanding. Don't miss out on trying their delicious burnt ends!
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art - Kansas City has some of the best museums in the country. This might come as a surprise, but it's true. I particularly love this free art museum because it offers a wide range of activities. The museum showcases works of art from renowned masters such as Picasso, Matisse,
Rembrandt, and Monet, all in one location! Even if you're not a fan of museums, there's also a mini golf course where you can enjoy some drinks. Yes, you heard that right. A museum with mini golf and drinks! #cheers 🍸
The WWI Museum - WWI changed the game of warfare as it introduced fighter planes,
submarines, and tanks on a mass-produced scale. Visiting this museum had a powerful impact on me. Be sure to check it out!
American Jazz Museum - A small museum that’s worth a quick look. Unlike other jazz museums, this
one explains the framework of jazz. Understanding how jazz is created has made me appreciate it even more. On the weekends, there is an adjacent jazz room called the Blue Room, where you can see live music in action.
City Market - This market is a great place to immerse yourself in the local culture and
to experience other cultures as well. Keep in mind that Kansas City can get hot, so it's advisable to visit early in the morning or later in the day. Additionally, this market is conveniently located near other interesting attractions such as the Pigwich’s and Betty Rae’s Ice Cream.
Have you been to Kansas City? What did you enjoy most about it?
