Don't compromise. You can savor the moment and capture lifelong experiences.
Hurry Up and Take The $%^# Picture
I watched the 100m Olympic race yesterday, and it was clear that Jamaica won.
But for some reason, Noah Lyles won!
So I started to question myself. I think I understand
time. I admit that I'm sometimes late, but I do understand hours, minutes, and seconds.
But what is five-thousandths of a second?!
For races that close, there should be a second attempt to break the tie!
I'm not finished yet.
Now the media is saying Noah Lyles is the fastest man alive!
Ha!
I’ve never seen Noah do this in his races…
But I get it, America hasn't had a track and field win in a while.
Let’s switch topics…
When traveling with a group, is there always that one person who takes too many pictures? It’s annoying, right?
If you don't know who it is in your group, you're definitely the one annoying everyone else!
But it’s okay, I’m the annoying one too. 🫡
I get it.
As a content creator, I have major FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). I feel the urge to capture every moment with my camera because it could be something special to share with my audience.
But, here’s the thing: If I spend every moment behind the camera, I'm not really enjoying my
trip.
So how do I strike a balance between being immersed in the trip and capturing great moments and memories (cough showing off cough)?
I've got you covered with the perfect solution!
I have discovered a simple trick: experience the site first, then go back to take your pictures.
By immersing myself in the surroundings and taking in the moment, I appreciate the beauty and essence of the place. Only after soaking in the experience do I start taking pictures.
This approach not only allows me to enjoy the site fully but also helps me capture better shots. By understanding the key elements and nuances of the scene, I can think through my shots effectively and highlight what truly stands out.
So, the key takeaway is: don't compromise. You can savor the moment and capture lifelong experiences.
Try this method out for yourself and let me know how it works out.
Keep traveling,
Andrew
